- There is no linear scar created.
- Successful hair transplants are all dependent upon the quality of the hair graft (which is used to create the new hair growth). The robot, due to the fact that it has much more intricate movement, can provide high quality hair grafts all the time.
Still a need for the human touch
These points sound like great steps forward and technology is certainly making the world of hair transplantation more effective and faster. There will however still be a great need for surgeons and nurses to oversee the process to ensure that styles and hairlines are kept to what the patient requires. It is also unlikely to take away the one reason which prevents many individuals accepting the option of hair transplantation – the expense. If anything, where machinery such as this (and the training involved) needs initial investment, it may well increase prices.
