- It is relatively painless
Ok, we know what you are thinking. If this is a tattoo and you are going to be using needles and things, then its’s going to be a painful few hours. But we think you will be pleasantly relieved. First of all, the scalp micro pigmentation at Skalp® micro pigmentation only goes as far as the 2nd dermal skin layer, unlike traditional tattoos. You will feel an annoying little prick as the needle goes in but we would rate this at 1-3 (0 = no pain; 7-10 = severe pain).
- You can see what you will look like before taking the treatment
We understand that deciding to take the treatment can be a bit of a leap of faith. So we have provided a system whereby you can get an excellent idea as to how you will look after. Just send us a head and shoulders picture of yourself with a shaven head and we will send you back a picture with a mock-up of how the treatment will look.
- You help design the hairline with the practitioner
Our practitioners are all fully qualified and they will use their skills to match pigment to flesh and natural hair colour, and to create a complimentary hair line. However, they will need your thoughts on how it will look to design it to your exact approval.
- It takes three sessions over 6 weeks
The treatment takes place over a minimum of three sessions and usually within 6 weeks. From feedback from clients, practitioners have learnt that even though at first this may seem a long period of time it is very useful because friends and family do not see a severe change straight away. It almost has the same effect of hair loss when it first begins – it is not noticed.

Looking after your new shaven look is an on-going process and the friendly staff at Skalp® will always be there to offer advice and to help you through. There may be a need for a top up after a certain time and we can help there too.

There is a 12 month guarantee from your first session, just in case any areas of the treatment is not perfect, simply give us a call and we will book you in for one extra session at no extra charge, any style or colour changes are chargeable at an hourly rate.
